4th of July! (and a giveaway reminder!)

Dude, I totally love holiday weekends.

Especially ever since I started to work full time you REALLY start to appreciate any and all opportunities where you are not at your job--and when this opportunity is a 3 day weekend you embrace that weekend with arms wide open.

Now we all know 4th of July is full of BBQs and Fireworks. We all know what  firework looks like so I'll spare ya those photos.

The Bubs and I (and our "go-to-way-awesome-fun" couple Meg and Keith) decided to hit up the Nissequogue river and do a lil canoodling (by the way if you don't live on long island you will have no clue how to pronounce that river's name, heck I live on Long Island and I sometimes have no clue what I'm saying)

Meg and I wore our obnoxiously large floppy hats. Our job for the entire 3 hour ride down the river was to "sit there and look pretty"

I think we aced our job description...

Bub and Keith enjoyed a beer or 2

the view from where I was sitting was GOR to the GEOUS! I didn't feel like I was on Long Island

...and this was Bub's view down the river...

I even had a chance to put my feet up and enjoy the ride

I had no clue what to do with my "paddle doo hicky" so I just layed it on my lap. I mean I guess I could have stuck it in the water and actually "paddled" but that would require energy.

We also tried to get all our ducks in a row...unfortunately we couldn't find and ducks so we had to settle for geese and swans

...and now its back to reality (insert inaudible terribly unhappy groan here)

What did you loves do for the 4th??

HEY! DON'T FORGET!

I am still giving away this print below:
