What I wore, Arm Party Edition

ITS AN ARM PAR-TAY!

You might have remembered a few weeks back Ilene and I talkin' bout an arm party the 2 of us were hosting.

Long story short we thought it would be a fun "summer camp activity" for a bunch of bloggers out there to make some friendship bracelets for each other and then swap 'em!

We then asked everyone to link up their arm party posts today so we can see how everyone's bracelets came out!

My partner was Ilene, look at how much she spoiled me!

I believe I'M ready for an arm party ;)

I absolutely love how Ilene made my arm party bracelets! She jacked up a typical friendship bracelet by sewing rhinestones into them.

She also included an original Much Love, Illy headband and a pair of hot pink sunglasses! I have met this girl in fo realz life a few months back, and let me tell you she is JUST as gorgeous and uh-may-zing in person. Although I think her only down fall is that shes a total cover hog ;) also when the 2 of us get together we exude this awesome aura called "absolute gangsta"

in case you were doubting said aura here is a photo to prove it. I mean if wearing a glittery star crown made out of glitter, pipe cleaners and cardboard doesn't scream "thug life" then nothing does.

She has a HUGE heart and I know we will be besties for life. Whenever we talk most of our sentences end in "omg ME TOO!", we are pretty much the same person.

Also didja notice I got some bangs? I have a huge love/hate relationship with them. No joke ask me in 10 minutes how I feel about having bangs, you will never get the same answer outta me.

Right now I'm on Team Bangs, but I'm sure tomorrow I'll be googling "how does one grow out hair at super sonic human speed"

and by the way, these will soon be the "before" shots, homegirl has not 1, not 2, not 3 but 4 frekkin weddings next year to go to. In NY you go big or go home when it comes to this stuff, so I am determined to fit into all my cocktail dresses by then.

It's gonna happen and you all are holding me accountable.

Oh and those hot pink sunglasses? There is a story behind them...but more on that later ;)

New Packaging Design and A New Project Teaser!

Some of you might have noticed a new look here at Yellow Heart Art. We have completely revamped and changed our branding (if you want to see the evolution of our branding come over yonder) (side note: Is yonder, like, so Shakespearean to say? Cause it makes me feel smart)

I'm not sure if any of you guys miss me yet since I've been having a bunch of guest posts lately (and I know you all are totally crushin' on them hard core) but I know for a fact you will not be disappointed with what you are about to witness below.

I big fluffy heart Ilene from Much Love, Illy. She is a wicked awesome fashion blogger who also has a love for Jim Halpert (swoon) and a soft spot in her heart for Back Street Boys circa 1995 (ya know, before Brian had kids, Nick dated Paris (ok, really, what WAS that?!) and Kevin decided it would be cool to wear long skirts with combat boots)

I can honestly say that she is one of my bloggie BFFs and I know for a fact that one day we will be blessed by each others way awesome presences (by the way, doesnt that word look totally weird pluralized?)

autumn greetings to the Leonora's incredible readers! 

my name is Ilene and i hail from the blog Much Love, illy. when i'm not there, you'll find me busy over at my handmade shop, creating accessories such as poppy garland headbands, jewelry, hair charms, etc. soooo...be sure to stop by and visit me! i love visitors and making new friends. 

and so today, i have the pleasure and honor to guest post while Leonora wraps up on her big move and gets ready to party in Disney (totally jelly over this! um, the Disney part, not the move). today, i am revealing to you something that has not been revealed before (unless you stalk youtube 'cause it is a public link - yikes!). 

some of you might recall Leonora had a dance party i had RSVPed to a little while ago, but i ended up having some technical difficulties. but hey, better late than never, right?! so here goes nothing (except for my dignity and pride) but hey, it's party, right? you gotta let loose! and we do just that...

My weekend was just rosey :)

You know what I seriously dig?

I dig supporting other handmade businesses.

I also dig dressin' up mah 'do with some "hair bling" as I so endearingly call it.

I own a redic amount of headbands (I won't tell you the exact amount, but just know that I claimed territory on top of Bub's and I dresser for all my hair swag--a small child could get lost in all my stuff. Please don't bring your kids over my apartment, I can't guarantee that you'll leave with them)

you guys the weekend is RIGHT HERE. I can taste it (and it tastes like chicken fajitas--don't ask)

I need to apologize. I have been majorly MIA this past week. My last post was on sunday and it is almost a week later. Thank you to everyone who has stuck around b/c I promise home girl will be on her A-Game and not slack off.

But the slackage is not entirely my fault, something totally and completely unexpected came up and I had to take care of it.

Hi, my name is Leonora and I am addicted to bows. Any kind of bows. Bows in your hair, around your neck and even on your feet (hey, your toes deserve to be little fashionistas too)

If I could I would rock a giant bow dress and channel my inner Lady Gaga. (side note: said obnoxious bow dress would not be made out of raw meat. Thinkin' something more user friendly like perhaps a nice satin or maybe, call me crazy, plain 'ol cotton)

Friday Faves! (the "I want alllll of this for my birthday" edition) oh and a winnah!

Hey you guys! Today is thee last day that I, Leonora Jennifer P, will be in my mid twenties. As of tomorrow (April 30th) yours truly will join the "late twenties" club...and I think I'm ok with this.

I tend to have really exciting ways of celebrating my birthday.

I eat cupcake floral arrangements

 I sport a tiara. What? The only other time one can wear a tiara for no reason is in Disney World--so let me have my glory ok?

I ride "hogs" (hogs: see also motorcycle) in fact I am so good at ridin' a motorcycle that I can ride mine AND steer my friend's at the same exact time. Mad skills man.

I get sweaty at bars. (PS-sweat is not the new black. Sweat will never ever be cute--but I was told once that girls dont sweat, we glisten. I'm unsure who these glistening gals are but I for one am a sweater)

I go to "adventure land" and ride the merry-go-round (I had to fight off a lil girl to get this horse. I figured it was ok cause it was my birthday and I wanted an awesome facebook profile photo, does that make me a bad person? Ok good, I didn't think so either)

...and you forget how fast the "musical express" was when the last time you rode it was when you were 5. Somehow a violently fast roller coaster seemed a lot more fun when you were 5 and not 25.
