Summer Faves!

It's officially summer you guys! Now, I don't get this weather, but yesterday in NY I was in boots, skinny jeans and a jacket--today I am dying in a little sundress.

I put together some summer faves of mine. If I win lotto this is where my first few hundred bucks is going. The rest of my millions is going to be turned into singles, then placed into a giant pool so I can roll 'round in it for a while. Sure, its probably super filthy, but hey I'm a millionaire who needs hygiene now anyway?

I guess I was inspired by my new branding colors to pick out some faves that were soft pinks, pretty salmons and a hint of mustard yellow.

1. Summer Navajo Zip Pouch by The Wonder Forest
I'm sure most of you know Dana from the Wonder Forest, but maybe you don't, in which case I feel bad for you. Dana is a graphic designer too (representin'! fist pound to the chest) and homegurl's got talent. If you wanna stare at your screen for a few hours till you go cross-eyed then check out her shop. You are welcome.

2. Sweet Pea Coral Pink Bracelet by Junghwa
Being a graphic designer I have learned to hate bracelets. I know you probably think thats weird but you try to use a mouse all day while a piece of metal is digging into your wrist-not fun. It's bad enough my future is doomed to carpal tunnel we don't need to add "getting a metal bracelet stabbed into your wrist" to the mix. This bracelet is so simple, dainty and light weight that I can totally design stuff while wearing it. Need. Now.

3. Fedora by Anthropologie
Ok, confession alert, wanna know how many hats I own? Over 50. I know, it's a sickness. And I only have one head so that makes it even worse. But guys LOOK AT IT ITS SO CUTE I NEED IT NOW.

4. Light Hearted Sundress by ModCloth
Ok, this dress? I can just see myself in some high fashion top knot sitting on some blanket in a park somewhere while my dog chases his tail in a field full of sunflowers. What? My fictitious dog is a moron what do you want from me?

5. Coral White Dot Zipper Pouch by Made by Hank
you guys, I GET TO MEET KATIE IN THE FLESH IN 2 DAYS. Pretty much anything and everything I make at Renegade is going straight towards Katie's inventory.

6. Notting Hill Bow Flats by Shop Ruche
Ok, COME ON do these shoes need an explanation?? Can't you see me wearing them while walking said fictitious dog in scenario #4 above? Ok, you can? See, this is why we're friends, because you guys totally get my visions.

What are some of your summer faves?

(and PS-I get asked this a lot, but I make these collages in adobe illustrator. This one looks kinda pathetic b/c I'm too busy designing logos for everyone and their 3rd cousin twice removed on their mother's grandfather's side at the current moment, so excuse the quick botch job.)

I gave in to colored denim

Hello Loves! I know I have been MIA on my blog, but it's because I have been brewing up new designs for the shop and collaborating on some projects with 2 lovely ladies. More deets on that in the future ;) I know, I'm so cryptic sometimes.

But if you all follow me on the twitter (do you think we should start calling twitter "The" Twitter? Like, ya know, kick it old school like how facebook used to be "The" facebook? No? Ok, good idea, I didn't like it either) but anyway I asked a question yesterday in regards to colored denim.

I want to so badly hop on this band wagon and be all like "hey guys! Look at my ass! ITS GREEN!"

 But it scares me.

It scares me a lot.

I'm pretty sure I'll give into this trend, I gave into capris (something bout awkwardly cropped pants freaked me out too, I really hate it when my ankles are cold.) I gave into leggings and I gave into jeggings (oooo jeggings how I am so glad you came into my life--it's like wearing the "black tie" version of sweat pants. Can someone point me in the direction of the lovely person who invented jeggings? Pretty sure we need to make out)

I was shocked with how many of you were on "TEAM COLORED PANTS!". You all were so encouraging and really wanted me to ride the colored pant train.

You guys, here is my huge announcement. Can I ask that all cell phones and electronic devices be turned off at this time while I tell you all something super exciting?

*Ahem*

I gave in. Yes, I Leonora Jennifer Last name with held due to the fact that you can google me has decided to give this a go. After looking at a plethora of colors I decided to go with green pants. I have a lot of neutrals and navy blue so I thought it was a best bet.

Check out how I would work my awesome green pants:

1. Khaki Crop Jacket from ModCloth
2. Green Denim Pants from Target
3. Coral Flats from Delias
4. Colored Block Totes from Old Navy
5. Navy and White Tank from Abercrombie and Fitch

So, what color denim do you swear by and how do you style it? I need ideas!

xoxo

Ya know how you know you really really really want something? Well, you know you have a serious case of the "OMG why didn't I buy that?!" blues when you're on your disney vacation and you're snapping a pic with your prince charming boyfriend out front of thee castle where all things magical and amazing happen and all you can think about is this top.

poppin my foot like its hot.

Friday Faves! Fall is here! (psst and a giveaway winner!)

why HELLOoOOOo fall, I've missed you so much.

I've missed tucking my jeans into my boots

I've missed pumpkin picking...
...and tripping over all the pumpkin vines like an idiot

I've missed wearing scarves and hats and all things totally unnecessary to an outfit--but yet we wear 'em anyway.

So I wanted to do a friday faves dedicated to fall! All things are from ModCloth , show 'em some love folks! (ugh, did I just say "folks"? What am I, a 70 year old college professor? I apologize for that, I didn't like the way it sounded either...)

1. Hat To See You Go - a mustard yellow and lace hat?! What?! has this day FINALLY come?! why yes, yes it has.

2. Coach Tour Dress can we just admire those buttons for a second or 10? Le sigh.

4. Reach New Levels Satchel - I feel like the time has come for me to have a "satchel" that way when someone says "oh, em, gee, I-like-totally love your purse!" and I can be all like "actually-its a satchel, ok?"

5. Cream Tights - I have a love/hate relationship with tights. I love they way they make me look, but I hate for when it comes time to use the bathroom. We all know what I'm talkin' bout ladies.

6. Out-and-a-bow-t Belt - we all know I wear bows in my hair, round my neck, on my purses satchels, but now I can wear 'em round my waist?! Sold.

7. Your Best Boot - Yeah, pretty much, my best boot.

Also--didja win our giveaway for some hair pretties and FREE ad space from our sponsor Beautiful Blendings?

well, if you are Sarah from Yes, Teacher! Then give me a holla girl, YOU WON!!

Friday Faves! We're going to italy kids!

Ahhh Italy. That place just oozes romance. A sweet ride on a gondola with your hunny? Some legit italian pizza? Perhaps finding 2 brothers named mario and Luigi? (Do you all have the super mario theme song in your head now? Cause you are welcome in advanced for that) (do do do DE do do do…) (ok, listen, that is my best impression of the super mario theme via the interweb, cut homegirl some slack)
You all we be shocked to hear this but I am 100% italian american. As if my freakishly white skin and green eyes didn't give it away. (seriously, where did I come from?)

As you know from time to time I like to live vicariously via my own blog. You guys wanna take a trip to italy with me a la my friday faves? (like how I used "a  la" right there cause I kinda do) and the best part? No 8 hours plane ride with a crying baby on board. Hop on kids we're going to the Mother Land!

Gondola Dress by Shabby Apple

Ok everything about this photo is high on my "Swoon-ometer". That dress?! That Vespa?! The Pooches?! Is that what italy really looks like cause heck I might just swim there. Guys, are there sharks on the way? Cause I'm starting to re-think this whole "let's swim to italy" bit....

This vespa is way more affordable than the Tiffany Blue one I've been eyeing...I have no clue when I would ride a vespa per say but I feel like it's something I should just have. Just so I can say "yo bro wanna check out my vespa?"

Ciao! Necklace by Enchanted Planet

A word so epic it means both "hello" and "goodbye". Wait--thats kinda confusing. How do you hang up the phone with people? Like, are you saying "bye" or just "hello" all over again? Something to think about guys...something to think about.

imagine this scarf, with a denim jacket, a cute white fitted button down tucked into your navy blue pencil skirt while scouring the Cathedral with some dude named Pasquale. Just imagine that for a hot second will you? and you're welcome.

Fedor-able Hat by ModCloth

Confession time: I own about 18 fedoras. You guys I am dead serious. I have one head and about 54 hats. At least its a nice even number, right? So that totally makes it ok and acceptable. Accept me guys.

Italy I'm coming! Can ya hear me? No, not the screaming baby on the plane--thats not me.
