Shop Annoncement and a Giveaway!

I am super stoked to show you guys what I have been working on for the past 3 months (yes, 3 entire months)

I love making art, any kind of art.

After creating graphic prints to decorate your home I thought to myself "hey how bout graphic prints to decorate, well, yourself"

So, I did.

It was not easy.

First I scoured all over the web to find pendant trays at whole sale for a reasonable price.

ok, check.

Then I scoured every craft store on Long Island to find some chains and lobster claps to go with said pendant trays.

Did you know that lobster clasps are not sold in a set? Yeah, you need to buy the little claw thingy ma jiggy and THEN buy the little hook thingy ma bobby (why this is not a set is beyond me. Do you see people selling bras without the hooks?! Or Sneakers with out laces?! Or the wendy's bacon cheese burger with the bacon or <gasp> cheese?! Me thinks not)

grrrr.

oh, and no stores had chains. any kinds of chains.

so home girl scoured the web again.

ok, now I have chains--check.

Ok, next stop glue.

oooo the glue.

Glue and I had an interesting relationship over the past 3 months.

I went through 4 different brands of glues (and 3 surgical masks)

I know, I look mega badass, don't be intimadated it's just me in a surgical mask guys.


1st round of glue: Ate away at the paper (grrr)

2nd round of glue: Left prints looking cloudy

3rd round of glue: Air bubbles, air bubbles, AIR BUBBLES (channeling my inner Marsha Brady)

4th round of glue: Bled into paper (again)

5th round of glue: wha--what tha?! I got this to work?!

and by the 5th round of glue there was much rejoicing. I even had a ceremonial dance complete with smoke signals. Ok, this is only partially true--there was no dancing.

So, guys, after all that (allllll of that) I can now proudly show you my nifty new graphic print pendants!

Don't be fooled, there were times were I wanted to quit bad, real bad. But I had Amy (buggieandjellybean.blogspot.com) and the Bubs telling me that I can do it. 

And like the little engine, I just kept telling myself I could. Even after I had inhaled an insane amount of toxic glue and got resin all over my comforter.

sooo...waddya yall think? My lovely cousin was nice enough to model for me.
